1st day: Arrival in Sofia Airport. Walking City tour of Sofia. The center is best explored on food and we will visit: Alexander Nevski Cathedral, National Assembly Square, St. George Rotunda, Sofia Central Mineral Baths. Free time. Transfer to the city of Hisarya. Accommodation in a hotel with Spa center and swimming pools with thermal mineral water. Free time for leisure and treatments.
2nd day: After the breakfast - city tour of Hisarya. Departure to Plovdiv – the European capital of culture in 2019. Within 2-3 hours of walking along the city we will discover the history and culture behind a 7000-year old settlement, written by the Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, and Bulgarian civilizations. We will enjoy sightseeing in the Old Town with its museums, historical monuments, revival period houses, lined with souvenir shops cobbled streets or get impressed by the rich Ethnographic Museum and the ancient Roman Theater. We will feel the atmosphere of this artistic and trades center and can enjoy a lunch at the local restaurants. Next stop is Thracian Temple Complex in Starosel. This is the oldest ever found royal Thracian complex with a mausoleum. It dates back to the end of 5th and the beginning of 4th century BC. In the evening we can enjoy the Spa treatments in the hotel SPA centre.
3rd day: An exciting full day trip revealing the secrets and splendor of Bulgarian rose oil production and the ancient Thracian tomb of Kazanlak. Our first stop is Kazanlak and a visit to the famous Thracian tomb dating back from 4th century BC, and UNESCO World Heritage sight. Free time. In the afternoon we continue to the Ethnographic Complex Damascena, located in the hearth of the Valley of Roses. In May or June we have the chance to see a lot of roses that we have never seen. We will learn about the technology of the rose oil (and rakia (Bulgarian brandy) as well) production and sample some products. There is an ethnographic museum, restaurant, beautiful lake, shop. After the exciting day – bathing in the mineral water, massages, sauna, adventure shower and many others pleasant treatments in the hotel in Hisarya.
4th day: Our magnificent short stay in Bulgaria unfortunately ends. Transfer to Sofia Airport. Departure to the country of origin.
